Social & Educational Activities at the Club

The Glen Ellyn Woman’s Club is about more than serving our community—it’s also about providing life-long learning opportunities for members and building lifetime friendships. Interesting and varied programs are part of all our regular meetings, whether they be about the arts, history, literature, local government and non-profit agencies, or businesses and members of our community. Recent presentations include an update on happenings in the village by Glen Ellyn's Village manager, a tour of the Northwestern Hospital's Mobile Stroke Van, a first-person portrayal of Chicago historical figure: Mrs. Potter Palmer, a concert by Irish musician Gavin Coyle, and a behind the scenes look at producing the Channel 9 News, courtesy of local resident Aline Cox, Executive Producer.

In addition, our social activities bring members together throughout the year to connect, explore, celebrate, and simply enjoy one another’s company.

Our meetings and social events provide opportunities for members to get to know one another in a relaxed and welcoming atmosphere. Whether you’re a longtime member or joining us for the first time, you’ll always find a friendly face and an invitation to participate.

A Look at Our Social Calendar

Each year, our Social Committee plans a diverse calendar of activities that showcases the best of Glen Ellyn and the surrounding communities. Recent events have included a visit to downtown Glen Ellyn with a walking tour to local merchants, attend a fitness class at Ackerman Sports & Fitness Center, play bingo at the Beer Cellar, enjoy a lunch at a local restaurant, and watch a show a Drury Lane Theatre in Oakbrook Terrace. These gatherings bring members together to discover new experiences, while supporting businesses and organizations throughout our community.
